ABC provides local HIV/AIDS epidemiological data, HIV/AIDS care and prevention information, and information on how to access the National Library of Medicine online health resources, as well as other reputable resources.

Who We Serve
The targeted geographical area selected for the delivery of the project activities is West Texas and Southern New Mexico. The main audience for the training component of Provision are Community Health Workers (Promotores). Workshops and tutorials are also available to local agencies and community healthcare staff on how to access and utilize HIV/AIDS health related information, information retrieval, and the structuring of online presentations
What We Do
Training to increase the capacity of community health workers (CHWs) to create virtual learning communities for the promotion of health literacy, and to improve prevention and care practices by disseminating sources of credible and updated virtual information. Community presentations facilitated by trained CHWs to improve health literacy and to increase access to virtual information services among vulnerable populations. Learning New Computer Based Tools for HIV/AIDS Prevention for Promotores – Phase Two. Advanced Web Based Information Retrieval and Use of Virtual Tools to Promote Health Literacy.
